366 Photography Challenge: Week Twenty-Six
Welcome to Week Twenty-Six of my 366 Photography Challenge. This week was a whirlwind, blending moments of serenity with bursts of action, both in nature and daily life. From a cautious squirrel to late evening walks, and the ever-curious rabbits in my garden. As we step into this week's photographic adventures, I invite you to join me in exploring the captivating scenes I've encountered, each frame capturing a unique story.
Day 168: The Squirrel
It was a peaceful day for a walk, and I found a squirrel in a tree, busy with a nut. As soon as it saw me, it froze its activity, hoping I hadn’t noticed its presence. I took some photos and then left the poor thing in peace.
Day 169: 007
Inspired by James Bond, I took this photo. I didn’t have time for anything else; this week was manic. I was lucky to finish the shot just in time before the lighting wand went off due to a lack of battery.
Day 170: What a Wonderful Evening
As with the previous day, I couldn’t go for a walk, so I didn’t want to miss a hike today. I am glad that I persisted in going out because the light was gorgeous. All the rabbits with their babies ran as soon as they saw me coming. They hid in the stone wall.
Day 171: Summer Solstice
Unfortunately, the light over the mountain wasn’t very good. The clouds were partially covering the area, but not in a good dramatic way. So, I chose this photo that I took instead. We can’t always ask nature for a great performance.
Day 172: Rabbits in My Garden
Every year, a couple of rabbits have their babies under the deck of our garden. Every spring, I see the new babies emerging from that place and eating many of my plants. Yes, I know… they are cute.
Day 173: Late Walk
During busy schedules, my walk can be very late, like today. I loved the light between the clouds in this image. The deer that was eating some branches wasn’t very happy to be disturbed by me, though.
Day 174: More Nature for the Last Shot of This Week
I was working during the day, and through the window, it didn’t seem windy. Probably by the time I finished and could move from the chair, the conditions had changed. I was exhausted after this busy week; however, I managed to train and go for a walk. But my goodness, it was windy! The light was gorgeous, though, but I didn’t have the energy to tolerate the wind, so I did a short walk this time.
These small, everyday encounters remind us of the beauty that surrounds us, even in the busiest of times. I hope these photos inspire you to find your own moments of wonder and peace in the world around you. Until next week, keep your camera ready and your eyes open for the next magical moment!
