During a recent short break in the far north of Scotland, I stayed in the quiet beauty of Caithness, where part of my family lives. Known for its dramatic coastlines, ancient geology, and open skies, this part of the Highlands feels like the edge of the world, in the best possible way.
As usual, I took the time to explore the beaches and cliffs, captivated not by wildlife this time, but by the rich textures, earthy colours, and rugged formations that tell stories older than we can imagine. One of the highlights was Puffin Cove, despite its name, I didn’t go searching for puffins. Instead, I let the landscape speak for itself through the lens, documenting the meeting point of sea and stone in all its raw elegance.
Caithness is a place of contrasts, harsh yet peaceful, weathered yet timeless. And through photography, I aimed to capture that balance, where nature’s rough edges meet serene simplicity.
